5 Integrated Logistics Management

  Due to many requests this course was written for 2003.  It reflects the impact that logistics has on every company from the point of origin to the point of consumption of the supply chain.

OUTCOMES: Competencies to be acquired

On completion participants will be better able to:

Understand the basic concepts of logistics - The importance of providing customer satisfaction by having the right marketing mix of - supply of the right product, at the right place, at the right time, in the right condition, for the right cost
Identify how to enhance existing supply chain activities
Provide an integrated relationship between contributing company departments, so that information for effective decision making is readily available
Identify trends of increasing costs and/or waste
Enhance the company bottom line in terms of profit, environment and personnel
